Access Lunchtime – SQL Date & Time Extended Data Type Integration

Come join us on the last Tuesday of every month @ 12 noon CDT.  Maria Barnes will be your host and we will cover lots of interesting topics related to Microsoft AEventsccess.  This is a free webinar for 1 hour, we look forward to meeting you!

=== MEETING DETAILS ===

Maria Barnes, our chapter president, will present on the recently (12/20) added “SQL Date & Time Extended Data Type Integration”.  To enhance syntax compatibility with SQL, and to increase the accuracy and level of detail in records that include dates/times, the ATeam implemented a new “Date & Time Extended” data type into Access. This additional date & time type is directly compatible with SQL’s DateTime2 data type, and it will include a larger date range (0001-01-01 through 9999-12-31), and higher-specified time precision (nanoseconds). The current DateTime data type will continue to operate as-is.

We will review this, how and when to use, and limitations as well as review Dates in Access in general.

We meet every last Tuesday of the month at 12 noon CDT.
