Access.NET

This month’s topic is: “Access.NET” — Using Access to generate and drive an ASP.NET/SQL web site … and more!

Access Web Apps, Microsoft’s latest effort to extend Access to the internet, has some strong points, but some important limitations.  In this talk and demo, we’ll look at using a SQL backend with an Access front-end to generate, with a few clicks, a full ASP.NET web application that runs on all devices.

Presented by George Young, Vice-President, Denver Area Access Users Group

George started developing in Microsoft Access with the first integrated versions of Office while teaching Statistics and MIS in the early 1990’s.
George has worked as a software developer for the past twenty years, including twelve years at Microsoft (in just about every group other than Office). He is currently an independent consultant living at 7000 feet in Larkspur, Colorado, working primarily on .NET applications. George still has a commercial website or two that is driven by an Access database sitting in the server file system.
