It is never a good idea to roll your own security features at the VBA level, nevertheless, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been asked for help handling passwords etc. Passwords used in one system are often (unfortunately) used across different systems by individuals. Thus, when you design a rubbish system that takes & stores passwords internally and your system gets broken into – it’s not only that system that can be compromised for the innocent user.

DON’T EVER DO IT!!

I show how developers can use the existing security structure provided by Windows Active Directory to determine what access they should be allowed within & across your system/project.
