Access is great at reading data from other places. Crystal Long (strive4peace) will show an application that consolidates data from CSV files. New records are added and existing records are updated. What got imported and when is tracked.
VBA is used to:
* Browse to a Folder
* Loop through all the files
* Link to each CSV file using a Query
* Remove spaces and other unwanted characters from the query name
* Remove “” if file is stored in UTF-8 format
* Consolidate data
* Document what got imported and when
* Show a chart to visualize the data
