Adolph Dupre will explain how Access can be used for sending text messages to individuals or groups using Twilio

The session will include:

• How to setup a Twilio account.
• VBA code to a send a SMS
  • Check the status of the text
  • Log any response from the text
• Examples where texting is a great way to solve an issue:
  • Alerts when an automated application runs and quits
  • Reminding people of an appointment.
  • Requesting a response and logging that response.
  • Informing parents of issues related to emergency school closures
  • Informing school of student absence
• Walk through some examples:
  • Text informing the developer that the application started.
  • Table holding the Cell Numbers
  • Table holding the text information
  • Table that holds the responses from the texts.
  • Send message to attendees that supplied their cell ahead of time.
    • Request some type of response.
  • Check the status of the sent messages
    • Update the main screen with the responses.
  • Close app and show text confirming this.
• Other tidbits included in this application.
  • Function to create table schemas of all tables.
    • This helps when asking AI to write queries.
  • Adding Error code with VBA to all the Modules, forms and reports.
